*   Brush your teeth twice a day with an ADA-accepted fluoride toothpaste. Replace your toothbrush every three or four months, or sooner if the bristles are frayed. A worn toothbrush won't do a good job of cleaning your teeth.
* Clean between teeth daily with floss or an interdental cleaner. Decay–causing bacteria still linger between teeth where toothbrush bristles can’t reach. This helps remove plaque and food particles from between the teeth and under the gum line.
* Eat a balanced diet and limit between-meal snacks.
* Visit your dentist regularly for professional cleanings and oral exams.

Thanks

Hi..
Dental care involves taking good care of your teeth, gums and the related structures of the mouth. Dental care includes prevention and treatment of diseases of the gum and teeth, and also the replacement or repair of defective teeth. In many cases people may suffer from dental diseases due to sheer laziness and lack of knowledge towards proper dental care, with mostly the children and at times adults who often do not pay enough attention to teeth care. They fail to realize that healthy teeth and gum is extremely important to keeping you healthy and sound. Proper dental health is not only important to our healthy physical looks; it is essential to the well being of the entire body.

Hi..
you've probably heard that brushing and flossing your teeth daily are necessary for good dental health. So I discuss some tips how to brush your teeth.

* Place your toothbrush at a 45-degree angle against the gums.
* Move the brush back and forth gently in short (toothwide) strokes.
* Brush the outer tooth surfaces, the inner tooth surfaces, and the chewing surfaces of the teeth.
* Use the "toe" of the brush to clean the inside surfaces of the front teeth, using a gentle up-and-down stroke.
* Brush your tongue to remove bacteria and freshen your breath.

Hello,
Good dental and oral hygiene helps to:

    * Prevent the formation of plaque, which is the sticky film of bacteria that forms on the hard surfaces of teeth. This can lead to further dental and oral problems, such as tooth decay, tartar, gingivitis and periodontitis or gum disease.
    * Improve quality of life by preserving speech and eating functions, as teeth will last longer and one can avoid the embarrassment of bad breath or missing or unsightly teeth.

Good luck!!

I agree with JUles get some interdental brushes that help reach the gaps they are made by a company called TePe and most dentists do stock them, if it still concerns you raise the issue with your dentist again or possibly seek a second opinion.

Water. We all know that water is vital to our health and keeps us hydrated but it also keeps our teeth hydrated and washes away particles of food from our teeth. Drinking water also helps in the production of saliva which also deposits essential minerals onto the teeth.

may I add:
for kids:
> parents should brush their kids' teeth as soon as they appear
> regular dentist visit should be done at age 2
> don't deprive your kids with sweets, instead, teach them to clean their teeth after having one
parents should give fruits and vegetables to their kids to promote healthy teeth and gums
> give your kids milk. calcium makes the teeth strong

Thanks!
