I am 18 years old and about to attend the university of Washington and take courses then move on to dental school, at least this is my immediate plan, however I am having second thoughts on whether this is the right career for me, the main problem is that I want something that will be lucrative..which type of dentistry is the most lucrative and what specialization do I need to get in that field???

Unfortunately dentistry is not as lucatrive as years ago and it comes with huge education investment and after that huge practice investment so in the beginning you are in very deep debt! Also today with the regulations hitting from all sides and insurance pressures etc, mybe better to get a job out of college with benefits and a pension!
