So, I'm a pretty healthy 35 year old guy, and just a few weeks ago my gums started to bleed. This only happened when I brushed, so I didn't make a big deal about it to my dentist in salt lake. But just last week, they started to bleed randomly throughout the day.

if anybody has any idea what's going on, let me know in the comments. I'd love some light shed on the situation.

Hi,

If you've bleeding gums problem so follow some step.
1. Brush your teeth after every meal.
2. If any bleeding is noticed while brushing, this means you need to brush and floss more often or more thoroughly and that you need your teeth professionally cleaned.
3. Floss at least once/day using proper flossing methods. By not flossing you allow the bacteria to build up to dangerous levels.
4. Decrease the quantity and frequency of your consumption of sugar. Sugar helps plaque grow.
5. Visit your dentist twice a year.

If your gums bleed or seem swollen, your circulatory system is subject to every strain of bacteria in your mouth. We have to recognize that our body gives us warning signs like these so we can stop the cause before it affects us.

Don't brush too hard, brush ups and downs, visit dentist twice a year. Avoid tobacco some times this will make bleeding problems. Vitamin deficiency will also be a problem of bleeding but you said a healthy person. Better visit dentist.

these are the main causes of bleeding gum...just aware of this...
There are many possible causes of gingival bleeding. The main cause of gingival bleeding is the formation and accumulation of plaque at the gum line due to improper brushing and flossing of teeth. The hardened form of plaque is called tartar. An advanced form of gingivitis as a result of formation of plaque is periodontitis. Other causes that can exaceberate gingival bleeding includes:[3]
placement of new dentures
tooth or gum infection
diabetes mellitus[4]
idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura
leukemia
malnutrition
use of aspirin and anticoagulants(blood thinners) such as warfarin and heparin[5]
hormonal imbalances during puberty and pregnancy
Other less common causes are:
vitamin C (scurvy) and vitamin K deficiency

Establish a good oral hygiene program
Brush at least twice a day
Floss daily
Eat a well balanced diet
Include plenty of vitamin C and calcium
Drink plenty of water
Drinking water after eating can help wash food off your teeth and make it less likely for bacteria to form gum damaging plaque

Bleeding gums are mainly due to inadequate plaque removal from the teeth at the gum line. This will lead to a condition called gingivitis, or inflamed gums.

If plaque is not removed through regular brushing and dental appointments, it will harden into what is known as tartar. Ultimately, this will lead to increased bleeding and a more advanced form of gum and jawbone disease known as periodontitis.

In addition, it could be either indicating the beginning of the destructive process involving the supporting tissue around the tooth or some serious underlying systemic problems, which could be fatal. So it's really better to consult a dentist before it's too late.

Gums begin to bleed profusely when your oral hygiene is not good or you happen to use the wrong oral care products. Bacteria begin to accumulate on your teeth and turns into plaque, resulting in swelling and bleeding. Bleeding is also a result of improper flossing. Maybe, you tend to brush too hard which start eroding the surface of your gums, resulting in bleeding gums. Go consult your dental surgeon and try not doing anything cute. The nerves there in the gum are tender and if roughed up, can lead to a paralysis of sorts in your jaw.

the top four front teeth are most affected by ECC, which appears as white chalky marks on the teeth due to decalcification by the acids. If these teeth are left untreated, unsightly and often painful cavities will develop.
