Painless dentistry is a means of ensuring your total experience in our office is as stress-free and pain-free as possible. We will discuss treatment options that may require no local anesthetic and, whenever possible, alleviate pain by the means most comfortable to you.

I'm Dr. Thomas Karmen and I think a more detailed explanation is warranted.  Painless dentistry may or may not exist depending on the patient. It's very possible what is uncomfortable for one patient is highly improbable for the next and pain perceptions vary highly.  There are many ways to make attempts to make dentistry pain free among which are sedation, local anesthetic, general anesthetic, hypnosis and TLC but the important thing is recognizing that the patient is a person. A live breathing person and deserves whatever it takes to make that visit as free of stress as possible.
