How many teeth can be treated in a day. I would like to have all my teeth the same color and old metal removed. Over the years I had several crowns and bonding done. Now, the teeth don't look as good as they used to due to stains and wear. I am 51 and would like a bright pretty smile.

hi Huxlly

first of all you tell me which type of old metal or crown you have done with your teeth because many types of metals are there and each one has different techniques to be removed and after that teeth whitening has been done.

so tell me which type of metal you have done out of these

Gold or gold alloy

Nickel alloy

Chromium alloy

Palladium

if you dont know plz ask your consultant because much care has been taken for removing the old metals because it has many disadvantages such as:-

Disadvantages of old metal crowns

Their color -- which contrasts strongly with the white teeth surrounding them

Problems with decay – if bacteria get up underneath the crown, gum disease can set in, requiring the removal of the crown, gum treatment, and a new crown

Wear and tear – older crowns can become worn or ill-fitting
