Fixodent, Poligrip denture creams, and others that contain zinc over the long term can lead to neuropathy, other neurological problems. You need a little zinc in your diet, but too much can poison you. If you use Fixodent, and experience numbness, tingling, or weakness in your arms or legs, or balance or movement problems, your denture cream may be poisoning you. Most people who use denture creams like Fixodent and Poligrip don't know they contain zinc, let alone the health problems they can cause. Even swallowing small amounts of Fixodent over a long period of time may eventually make you sick. This issue is only making news now. Lots of lawsuits have been filed. hmmm .... in the denture cream there are some mixture of such as baking soda ....enzymes....vitamins... herbs calcium... calcium sodium phosphosilicate.... mouthwash.... and-or hydrogen peroxide are sometime its combined into base mixes and marketed as being beneficial.... many manufacturers add antibacterial agents in that... Eg. triclosan or zinc chloride, to prevent gingivitis... triclosan is a common ingredient in the UK.... thanks Dentist st Petersburg

Denture cream is a kind of adhesive that is used to secure dentures to the mouth. So, this kind of cream will basically fix your dentures in place so that you don’t have to worry about them slipping or moving as you go about your everyday life. Denture cream is a kind of adhesive that is used to secure dentures to the mouth. The main advantage of using a denture adhesive is that it can give you a little more confidence that your dentures are going to stay in place when you either speak or eat. The major disadvantage is that people tend to use adhesive when they actually need to go back to the dental office and have their denture relined. The danger here is that a denture that doesn't fit well and a lot of denture adhesive is going to cause the ridge or tissue to reabsorb, and be less retentive than it was initially.
